This year brought so many great things our way. When I type them all out in a list, I can hardly believe how many incredible experiences we’ve had. We traveled all the way across the country for our first (of soon-to-be many) CatCon experience. We partnered with Yippee Cat Yay to help raise money for no-kill shelters. We were interviewed by Katniss, the infamous Cat Reporter. One of our videos was featured in this year’s Internet Cat Video Festival (and will be shown at CatCon 2016)! We reached 400 subscribers on YouTube! We spent a weekend in New York recently to help raise money for the Sean Casey Animal Shelter at the Paw It Forward event, and made so many new friends and met a bunch of kitties, too! We also visited Koneko, a cat cafe in New York City. If you are ever in the city, we highly recommend visiting them (blog post to come on that soon)! They have so many adorable kitties up for adoption and the staff is super friendly. We also joined the amazing pet blogging community, BlogPaws, and we’ve already started to make some wonderful new friends through that avenue. We were featured in not one, but TWO 2016 calendars–one for World’s Best Cat Litter (seriously, the BEST cat litter around) and Instagram’s Animals of Instagram Calendar! Last, but certainly not least, we were featured by Catster Magazine!
As we look ahead to the new year, we wonder how we could possibly top this year in 2016. We’re planning on attending the BlogPaws conference in Phoenix and we’re so excited to learn the Cat Writers’ Association will be joining them this year. After BlogPaws, we’re headed back to LA for the second annual CatCon! This year, we know so many more friends in the cat community, so we’re REALLY excited to see some familiar faces and meet even more new friends.
I also want to make a personal goal to blog and post videos more often. I have some ideas in mind for new types of posts–arts & crafts with the cats (the gingerbread house was so much fun!) and maybe even a little recipe experimentation with the boys! We’re really looking forward to the new year and can’t wait to see what is in store for us.
Wishing you all a wonderful end to your holiday season and a very happy new year! Thanks so much for reading and subscribing to our blog. Here are our best nine photos of the year from Instagram!
